A named lead. Real work.
We run three-month training internships, and they are fully remote. They are unpaid, and the best get a paid offer at month three. All of that is stated below rather than three emails into the process.

What the internship actually is
It is a training internship, not a job. That is the legal shape and it is also the honest description: you are here to be taught the work by someone who does it, on real tasks, for three months. It is unpaid, and it runs fully remote, so where you live does not decide whether you can take it.
We are not going to dress that up. Plenty of people cannot take an unpaid three months, and if that is you, this is not the right offer and no amount of copy changes it. What we can promise is that the three months are not filler. You get a named lead, work that ships, and a straight answer at month one and month two, so nothing at month three is a surprise.
Open cohorts
Where we are taking people
Two cohorts: one starting 1 October, one starting 16 November. Every track reports to the lead who does that job here. No intern reports to an intern.
Engineering
Reproducing the benchmark, testing installs, pilot QA on test environments, docs, and good-first-issues in TypeScript, Fastify, Next.js and Postgres. You will have merged something in your first week.
Sales
List building, research, CRM hygiene, and outbound written to approved templates and reviewed before it sends. Closing work carries an incentive on top.
Marketing and content
Turning one long piece into the twenty small ones, listings upkeep, community monitoring, newsletter assembly and campaign tracking.
Design
Ad creatives, one-pagers, tiles and deck slides, all built from the logo kit rather than invented per asset.
Video
Cutting the product footage into clips that survive a feed: the matrix, the prove-the-fix moment, webinar edits, captions.
The hours
Six hours a day, Monday to Friday, fully remote wherever you are. Standup at ten is not optional.
Our side of it
What you get, in writing
A named lead
One person, named in your offer, who assigns the work, pairs on it and reviews it. Training happens inside the task rather than in a separate session nobody schedules.
A weekly one-to-one
Thirty minutes a week with that lead, plus written feedback monthly and an honest conversation at month one and month two.
A certificate and a letter
A completion certificate and a letter of recommendation from your lead, both on finishing the three months.
A real offer at month three
The best of each cohort get a paid offer: a stipend or a junior role. Not everyone does, and we tell you where you stand well before the date.
How we hire
Four steps, and a reply either way
A short form
Availability, one thing you have built or written, and one question about the track. Everyone who applies gets a human reply within three working days, whatever the outcome.
A two-hour task
Scoped to two hours, and we mean two. We score it with names hidden. Work that obviously took twenty hours counts against you, not for you.
A thirty-minute conversation
Your lead and one other person. Ten minutes on why you made the choices you made, ten on the values, five on your questions.
A decision that day
Both interviewers score independently, then compare, and we decide the same day. You hear within two days.
Two more things
Rules we do not bend
Equal opportunity
We hire, review and promote on merit: what you can do and how you work. Discrimination or harassment on any ground is prohibited here, as is retaliation for reporting it. Complaints go to a lead or the internal committee in writing, and they are acted on rather than managed.
Never test without permission
You test only what we are authorised in writing to test. No exceptions and no “just checking”. A mistake you report is fixed; a mistake you hide ends the internship. That rule applies to the founder and to a day-one intern identically.
Full-time
There is no long list of roles
Most full-time hiring here happens out of a cohort rather than out of a job board. If you are strong in offensive security or in building developer tooling and none of the tracks above fit, write anyway. Send something you have built or broken, and tell us what you want to be doing in a year.
Either way, the address is people@cyberlop.com, and a person reads it within three working days. If you want to know what you would be working on first, the product pages are the honest version. About Cyberlop Labs →
Want to see what you would be working on?
Applications go to the address above, and a person reads every one. If you are here because you want to look at the product the cohort actually works on, we will walk you through it instead.
Or start with a $199 pilot on one application: thirty days, success criteria agreed before day one, credited against the annual if you convert.
