Scan profiles

Why doesn't my scan agent appear in the Scan location list?

Quick answer

The Scan location menu lists Cyberlop cloud plus agents registered in your workspace. If yours is missing, it was probably never added, or someone revoked it. Add it under Settings, then Scan Agents, then reopen the profile.

Why this happens

On the profile form, the Scan location menu always offers "Cyberlop cloud (default)". It also lists any registered internal agents. Its help text points to Settings → Scan Agents for managing them.

So an agent that is missing from the menu is usually missing from your workspace. Three causes are common: nobody added it, someone revoked it, or you are in a different workspace from the one where it was registered.

How to fix it

  1. Open Settings and click Scan Agents.
  2. Look at the table. Your agent may be there already, in which case reload the profile page and open the menu again.
  3. No agent in the table? Type a name in the New agent name box, for example "prod-dc-agent", and click Add agent.
  4. Copy the one-time enrolment token and the container run command. They are shown once, so save them before you leave the page.
  5. Run the command on a machine inside your network that has outbound HTTPS. The agent goes online.
  6. Return to the profile, open Scope, choose the agent in Scan location, and click Save.

Still not working?

  • Check the workspace name in the header, since agents belong to one workspace only.
  • Revoking removes an agent for good and sends its profiles back to the Cyberlop cloud, so add a new agent instead.
  • Adding agents needs access to Settings. A missing tab or button means your role lacks that access, so ask an admin.

Your plan decides whether internal scan agents come with it, and the feature list sits under Settings → Plan & usage. Not listed there? Contact us. See also how to add a scan agent and how to run a profile on an agent.
