Open the finding and choose a Disposition: Open (reopen), Fixed, False Positive or Accepted Risk. Set an Assignee and add Notes if you want, then click Update status. The Triage column in the list then shows the new state.
Steps
- Go to Issues and click the finding's row. A scan's Findings tab works too.
- At the top of the dialog, open the Disposition menu and pick a value.
- In Assignee, choose an owner if the finding needs one; the list holds every member of your workspace, shown with name and email.
- Type your reasoning into Notes on the Summary tab.
- Click Update status. One click saves the disposition, the assignee and your notes.
Good to know
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Disposition | Open (reopen), Fixed, False Positive or Accepted Risk. |
| Assignee | Unassigned, or any workspace member shown as name and email. |
| Notes | Free text. It is saved only when you click Update status. |
Disposition is your team's decision about what to do with a finding. It is separate from Status (Confirmed or Likely), which says how well the scan proved the finding, so changing the disposition does not change the grade of the proof. Two ideas, two fields.
Dispositions carry across scans. A fixed issue that comes back becomes a regression, not a fresh finding. Every change is logged in the Activity feed as a Triage · Issue entry, with the old and new state.
If the controls are missing or greyed out, your role probably lacks the permission to triage. Ask an admin, or read why you can't change a finding's status. The tutorial on triaging findings covers the full flow, and the Knowledge Hub has a page on finding triage.
