How do I filter the sitemap by URL or method?
Open the scan, choose the Sitemap tab and type in the Filter by URL or method box. Type a path fragment to match URLs, or a method such as POST to match methods. Delete the text to see every endpoint again.
A large app can have hundreds of endpoints. This box gets you to the right one.
Steps
- Click Recent Scans and open the scan.
- Choose the Sitemap tab.
- Click the box that reads Filter by URL or method....
- Type your term.
Good to know
You can search two ways.
| Type | To find |
|---|---|
POST | Endpoints that use the POST method |
/api | Endpoints whose path contains /api |
admin | Paths with admin in them |
Groups stay in place, and each keeps its host name. Collapse hosts you do not need by clicking their header.
Looking for risky spots? Filter on POST first. Write actions often deserve a closer look than plain page loads. Then read the one-line note on each row.
The filter changes what you see on screen. If you need the data elsewhere, use Export CSV beside it. The capture does not say whether the export follows the filter, so check the file you get.
For the meaning of the notes and role chips, read this short explainer. If the sitemap is empty or short, the scan may have stopped early. See how to see discovered endpoints for the basics.
If you are chasing one route you know by heart, typing a few letters of its path is much faster than scrolling through a long list of hosts and endpoints. Try it on your own scan and you will see the list shrink to a handful of rows within a second or two. It takes seconds.
