Scan profiles
Why does the profiles list show "All" under Vuln classes?
All is not an error. It means no vulnerability class is ticked on that profile, and an empty list means the profile scans all ten classes. To narrow it, edit the profile, tick the classes you want in Scope, and click Save.
Why this happens
The Vuln classes column lists the classes ticked in each profile. When none are ticked, there is nothing to list, so the page shows All. The help text under the checkboxes says it directly: "Leave empty to scan all classes." In our capture, four of six profiles showed All, and two showed lists such as "Injection, Xss, Auth, Authz, Ssrf".
So All is a setting, not a fault. It is also the default for a new profile.
How to fix it
You only need a fix if you want a narrower scan.
- Open Scan Profiles and find the row that shows All.
- Click the pencil icon at the end of the row. The edit page opens on the Scope section.
- Under Vulnerability classes, tick the classes you want. The ten choices are Injection, Xss, Auth, Authz, Ssrf, Crypto, Config, Business-logic, Dependency and Secrets.
- Click Save.
- Return to the list. The column now names your classes.
Be careful with the opposite move. If you tick every box by hand, you get the same coverage as All, but the list reads like a long string of names. Leaving everything unticked is simpler.
Still not working?
- If the column still shows All after a save, reload the page and open the profile again to confirm that the ticks stuck.
- Make sure you opened the right profile. Two targets can have profiles with similar names, so check the Target column.
- Check that you clicked Save and not Cancel.
If it still looks wrong, contact us with the profile name. For help choosing classes, read how to pick vulnerability classes and how to scan all classes.
