How do I see when a finding was first reported?

Quick answer

Click the finding to open its dialog. On the Summary tab, the Reported line gives the date and time, such as 27 Sept, 22:17. It sits with Target and Location. To follow later status changes, use the Activity feed.

Each finding carries a Reported time. It tells you when the finding entered your workspace.

Steps

  1. Click Issues and click the finding.
  2. Stay on the Summary tab.
  3. Find Reported under the severity badge and ID, next to Target and Location.
  4. Read the date and time.

Good to know

The value is short, such as 27 Sept, 22:17. Times follow the account's settings. The Activity feed uses a full timestamp on each entry.

Because issues persist per target, a finding keeps its original reported time across later scans. A regression is the same issue returning, not a new one. To see when it came back, open the scan where it reappeared and check the Diff tab.

Ageing matters for planning. Older, unfixed findings are good candidates for a team review. The glossary term vulnerability aging explains why.

For the other fields in the dialog, read how to open a finding's details. To find the person who changed it, see who triaged a finding.

The Reported time helps when you plan work against a deadline or a service target, because it shows how long a finding has been open and which ones have waited longest. Read it. Plan around it.
