How do I auto-generate the Application context from my repository?
Save the profile first, because the button stays off on a new one. After that, reopen the profile, go to Reporting, and click Auto Generate from Repo under Application context. Cyberlop drafts the fields from the repository. Review them and save. You can run it again later if the code changes a lot.
Steps
- Save it first. Fill in the target and name, then click Save. A new profile shows the button greyed out, with the tip "Save the profile first, then generate from its repo".
- Reopen it. Click the pencil icon on its row in Scan Profiles.
- Go to Reporting. Choose Reporting and scroll to Application context.
- Click the button. Press ✦ Auto Generate from Repo. It reads the target's repository to propose values.
- Review and save. Check each box, edit anything that is wrong, then click Save.
Good to know
The feature needs a repository, so it suits white-box targets, where Cyberlop already has your code to read when a scan starts. A black-box target has no repository to read. See why auto-generate does not work for black-box and fill the boxes by hand instead.
For a private repository, a Git token must be set so Cyberlop can clone it. An admin adds one under Settings → Git Access.
Cyberlop redacts detected personal data before the context goes to the AI engine. Even so, read the result as a draft. A tool can guess wrong about tenancy or sensitive data, and you know your app better than any draft does, so correct anything that looks off before you rely on it.
