You cannot create a schedule when your role lacks the schedule:create permission, when no scan profile is visible to you, or when a required field is empty. Ask an admin to check your role, confirm the profile exists, then fill in the profile, frequency and start time.
Why this happens
Three things gate a new schedule. Your role needs schedule:create. A scan profile has to exist for the schedule to run. And the form needs a profile, a frequency and a start date and time.
How to fix it
- Click + New schedule on Scheduled Scans.
- Pick a profile in Scan profile. The picker is searchable. If it lists nothing, the profile does not exist yet or it sits outside your group scope.
- Choose a Frequency and a Start date & time.
- Click Create schedule.
- If the action is refused, ask an admin to open your user under Administration and check your role. Permissions follow an
area:actionpattern, and creating a schedule isschedule:create.
Reading schedules is a separate permission, schedule:read. Editing needs schedule:update and removing needs schedule:delete. A custom role can hold some of these and not others, so a colleague may see schedules that you cannot change.
Still not working?
- Make sure the profile belongs to a target that still exists.
- Check the same action through a colleague with a broader role. If it works for them, the cause is your role.
- Look at how to create a recurring schedule to compare each field.
