Create a team in Administration, under Teams. Name it, add its members and set the grants that decide what they can reach. You need the team:manage permission. Once it exists, you can pick the team when you add a target.
Steps
- Use an account that holds the
team:managepermission, such as a SuperAdmin. - Open Administration and go to the teams section.
- Start a new team with the add control, and give it a name your colleagues will know at a glance, such as the product or squad it serves.
- Add the members. Each one must already be a user in the workspace. See how to add a user.
- Set the grants. A grant says what the team can reach.
- Save the team.
- Open Targets and choose + New target. The dialog has an optional Team field, so the new target can carry the team you made.
The Administration screens were not part of the pages we reviewed, so button names and grant options may differ from this outline. Trust what your own screen shows.
Good to know
Teams are about scope. A role says what a person can do, while a team and its grants say which things they can do it to. Keep the two ideas apart and the setup stays easy to explain.
| Call | What it does | Permission |
|---|---|---|
GET /api/teams | Lists teams with members and grants | team:read |
POST /api/teams | Creates a team | team:manage |
PUT /api/teams/:id | Updates a team | team:manage |
DELETE /api/teams/:id | Deletes a team | team:manage |
