Open Issues, choose a value in the Confidence dropdown (All confidences, High, Medium or Low) and the table narrows to that level. Confidence says how sure the scan is. It is separate from severity. Low-confidence rows are shown dimmed.
Confidence tells you how sure the scan is about a finding. You can filter on it from the Issues page.
Steps
- Click Issues.
- Open the dropdown that reads All confidences.
- Choose High, Medium or Low.
- Pick All confidences to clear the filter.
Good to know
A common routine is to start with High. Those findings are the best-supported, so they make a good first pass.
Then look at Low. These rows appear dimmed in the table. They deserve a human look before you act, because the scan is less sure of them. Read why low-confidence findings look faded.
Do not mix up two ideas.
| Field | Answers the question |
|---|---|
| Confidence | How sure is the scan? High, Medium or Low. |
| Severity | How bad would it be if real? |
| Status | How well was it proven? Confirmed, Likely or Unconfirmed. |
The Status line is on the finding's Summary tab, not in the filter bar. You can pair the confidence filter with Severity to ask, for example, for High confidence and Critical severity together.
The profile also has a minimum confidence setting under Reporting. It decides which findings reach the report in the first place. See severity and confidence for the detail.
Teams often agree a simple rule, such as fixing High confidence findings first and sending Low confidence ones for a quick human check before anyone spends a day on them. Write the rule down. It saves arguments.
