Troubleshooting
What does "No repository configured — add a Git repository URL to run a scan." mean?
It means the target has no Git repository saved, so there is no source code to read. Targets cannot be edited. Delete it and create it again as a White-box target with an HTTPS repository URL, or keep it as a black-box target.
Why this happens
The full message reads "No repository configured — add a Git repository URL to run a scan." It shows on the target page when the Repository row is empty (a dash). A white-box scan reads source code from a repository, so with none, it has nothing to read.
Targets are immutable, so the page has no field where you could type the missing address.
How to fix it
- Open the target and check Repository in Target details. A dash confirms nothing was saved.
- Save anything you need first, such as the latest PDF report from the document icon on the Targets list.
- On Targets, click the red trash icon on the row.
- Click + New target, enter the same Name and Main URL, and choose White-box.
- Paste your HTTPS address into Repo URL (HTTPS) and set Repo branch.
- Click Create target, add a profile and press ▷ Scan.
Still not working?
- The address must use HTTPS. SSH addresses that start with
git@are not supported. - A private repository needs a read-only Git token under Settings → Git Access.
- If you meant to test without code, you do not need a repository. See why a black-box target shows the same note.
An empty Repository row is the only cause we know of for this message, and the cure is always a new target with an address. Stuck? Write to /contact.
