How do I open a scan or target from the Dashboard?

Quick answer

Click a row. Rows in Top vulnerable targets and Recent scans on the Dashboard are links to the target or the scan. The Dashboard has no buttons, so rows are the way in. For the full list of scans, use Recent Scans in the sidebar.

Steps

  1. Click Dashboard in the sidebar.
  2. Find the row you want. Top vulnerable targets lists targets with their critical and high counts. Recent scans lists the latest runs with Target, Status, Cost and Started.
  3. Click the row. A target row opens the target page. A scan row opens the scan page.
  4. For anything not on the Dashboard, such as an older run or a target with no recent activity, use Targets or Recent Scans in the sidebar, where you can also search by name.

Scan pageRead Overview, Findings, Sitemap and Diff. Refresh, or Download report.
  • The Recent scans table shows only the latest runs. Older ones live in Recent Scans, which also has a search box.
  • A Failed scan can still hold findings that were found before it stopped. Open it to check.
  • Each run carries a status: Completed, Failed or Cancelled.

The page is read-only, so you cannot start a scan from it. Read why there is no scan button to see where to start one.

Want a finding rather than a scan? Go one step further once you land on the scan page. Open the Findings tab and click a row, and you reach the same issue dialog that you would find under Issues, with the same Summary and Evidence tabs.
