What's the difference between my personal AI credential and the organization's?

Quick answer

You save a personal AI credential on My Account, and Cyberlop uses it first for scans you launch. An admin saves the organisation's credential under Settings, AI Provider, as the shared fallback. Both secrets stay encrypted at rest, and Cyberlop never shows either again after saving.

The short version

Both credentials let scans call an AI provider. One belongs to you, and the other belongs to the workspace. Cyberlop picks yours first when you start a scan, and it falls back to the shared one when you have not set a personal credential.

How it works in Cyberlop

Extra controlsProvider and Secret, then Save AI credentialSave credential, Verify and Clear, plus AI Models per tier

Cyberlop uses credentials set on My Account first for scans you launch. Other people's scans never touch your key.

Only the organisation tab carries model choices. The Deep analysis, Recon & exploitation and Lightweight tasks dropdowns live there. Your provider bills usage on your own key, and Cyberlop measures it per model call, so the AI usage panel can show the figure.

Cyberlop encrypts both secrets at rest and never shows them again. A subscription token carries rate limits that can throttle a scan, so choose an API key when you use premium models.

What to do next

Use the shared credential when one budget should cover the team. Use a personal one when you want your own scans charged to your own provider account.

To set one up, read how to add your personal credential or how to use your own AI key. To compare key types, see API key or OAuth token. We can help on the contact page.
