Open the target from Targets. Click the Scan button at the top right, or click Scan on a row in the Scan profiles card to pick the exact profile. The scan starts at once and you can leave the page.
Steps
The target page is one scrolling page with cards, and it has no tabs. You will find the main button at the top right.
- Open Targets. Choose it in the sidebar.
- Click the target. The target page opens.
- Pick your scan. Click ▷ Scan at the top right, or ▷ Scan on a profile row.
- Check the note. Confirm the repository note under Target details.
- Follow the run. Open Recent Scans.
Good to know
If the target has several profiles, use the Scan button on the profile row. That way you choose exactly which profile runs. The card lists each profile with its vulnerability classes, whether the exploitation phase is enabled, and its auth roles.
Read the note under Target details before you scan. For a white-box target it says Scans clone the latest from this repository at launch. For a target with no repository it says No repository configured — add a Git repository URL to run a scan.
No profile yet? Click + New profile on the same card. That form starts with the target already chosen.
Which profile runs
The Scan button at the top of the page and the one on a profile row do not always do the same thing, and the capture does not show which profile the top button picks. When the choice matters, use the button on the profile row. It names the profile you mean and leaves no doubt about the scope, the roles and the filters.
Both buttons start a run straight away, so check the repository note and the profile list before you click. A scan that starts on the wrong profile still costs time and allowance, even when you cancel it soon after. Look first.
