Open Recent Scans from the sidebar and click the Scan button at the end of the row you want. It re-runs the same profile on the same target. The new run appears as a fresh row, and the old one stays.
Steps
Re-running is the quickest way to check a fix. It repeats the same profile, so the setup stays the same.
- Go to Recent Scans. Choose it in the sidebar.
- Find the run. Use the search box or scan the list.
- Click ▷ Scan. Press the button in the Actions column.
- Open the new row. The new run is added to the top of the list.
- Compare. Open the Diff tab when it finishes.
Good to know
The button re-runs the profile of that row, not a copy of the old results. So if you edited the profile since, the new run uses the edited version. Check the profile first when you want an identical run.
Each run is its own row with its own times, cost and findings. Issues persist per target, so a re-scan that no longer finds an issue marks it Fixed. If the issue returns, it becomes a Regression.
To see exactly what changed between two runs, open the finished scan and choose the Diff tab. It lists New, Fixed and Regressed findings against the previous completed scan.
Before you re-run
Check that the target and profile still hold the settings you want, since the run uses them as they are now. When the earlier run failed, read the banner on its detail page first, because the same cause can fail the next run too. A repeat of a failed run is worth it only after you fix the cause.
You can also re-run from the dashboard path: the recent scans table there links to each scan, and from the scan page you can reach its profile. The quickest route is still the Scan button in the row. One click, no form.
