How do I add tags to a scan profile?

Quick answer

Open the profile's Scope section, click the Tags field, type a label and press Enter. Repeat for more tags, then click Save. Tags are optional, and they let you filter the Scan Profiles list and group profiles later.

Steps

  1. Open the profile form. Start a new profile with + New profile, or edit an existing one with the pencil icon on Scan Profiles.
  2. Go to Scope. Stay on the Scope section, which is the first one in the left-hand switcher.
  3. Type a tag. Click the Tags field, which says "Add a tag and press Enter". Type a short label such as prod.
  4. Press Enter. The tag turns into a chip. Add more the same way.
  5. Save. Click Save in the footer. The tags now show on the profile row.

Good to know

Tags are labels for grouping and filtering. They never change what a scan tests, so you can add or rename them freely without affecting results. On Scan Profiles, a row of tag chips sits above the table, and a click on a chip filters the list to profiles with that tag. The search box also matches tags.

The Tags page in the sidebar has its own add-tag form and a central list. If you build groups of profiles, you can add members by tag, so a consistent naming habit pays off.

Keep names short and lower case, such as prod or payments, so they stay easy to type and easy to read in a crowded table. Consistent names also make filtering faster when you have many profiles across several targets. Need a hand? Use /contact.
