Scan profiles

I typed a tag but it wasn't added to my profile. What did I miss?

Quick answer

The tag box adds a tag only when you press Enter after typing it. Typing alone leaves plain text in the box. Press Enter so the tag turns into a chip, then click Save on the profile. Saved tags then appear in the profile list filter.

Why this happens

The field reads Add a tag and press Enter. That is the whole rule. Cyberlop treats what you type as a draft until you press Enter. Click away or press Save first, and the draft never becomes a tag.

How to fix it

  1. Open the profile and stay in the Scope section. The Tags box sits under Name.
  2. Type the label, for example prod.
  3. Press Enter. The text becomes a tag chip. Repeat for each tag.
  4. Click Save in the footer. Tags are optional, but they only stick once you save the profile.
  5. Open Scan Profiles and use the tag filter to confirm the profile shows up.

Still not working?

Check that you are on the right profile and that Save finished without a red message. Fix any red message first, such as an empty name.

The Tags page is a separate list. In our capture, a tag added on a profile did not show on that page, and the New group dialog said "No tags available." If you want a tag there, add it on Tags with Add tag.

Tags group and filter profiles. They do not change what a scan tests. Read how to add tags to a profile or groups vs tags, and ask through our contact page if the problem stays.
