Does adding a scan agent let me run more scans at once?
Yes. Every enrolled, online agent raises your organisation's limit for scans at once, because it brings its own capacity. The profile must have its Scan location set to the agent, and the agent must be online. Offline agents add nothing.
The short version
Yes. Each enrolled, online agent adds to your organisation's limit for scans running at once, because it brings its own capacity. An offline agent does not add anything.
How it works in Cyberlop
The Plan & usage tab shows Scans at once. That number is the plan's limit on how many scans can run together in the cloud. A scan agent runs jobs on your own machine, so Cyberlop adds it to your limit.
Two details decide whether you feel the extra room. Both matter.
- Your agent has to be online. Pending and offline agents add nothing.
- Scans use the agent only when their profile has Scan location set to that agent. Any profile left on Cyberlop cloud keep running in the cloud, under the normal limit.
Revoking an agent stops its key at once, and any profile pinned to it goes back to the Cyberlop cloud.
The exact numbers depend on your plan, and the plan card shows your own limit. Your own machine also needs enough power for the scans you send to it.
What to do next
Add an agent, wait for online, then set Scan location on the profiles you want to move. Then start a few scans together and watch them run side by side on the cloud and on your agent, which is the point of the extra capacity.
