Reports download only for completed scans, and only when your role holds the scan:read_report permission. Check that the scan result says Completed, that you are in the right workspace, and that any API token belongs to a user who has report access.
Why this happens
Three things sit between you and a PDF. The scan must have finished. Your role needs permission to read reports. And for the API, the request must carry a valid session or token. Missing any one of them stops the download.
How to fix it
- Open Recent Scans and read the Result badge. The Report button shows only for Completed scans, so a running, failed or cancelled run has nothing to download yet.
- Try each place a report can come from. Use Report on a Recent Scans row, Download report on the scan page, or the document icon on the Targets list.
- Ask an admin to look at your role. The permission that controls reports is
scan:read_report, and whoever built a custom role may have left it out. - For API calls, send
GET /api/scans/<scan-id>/report.pdfwith a valid Bearer token and a mode ofopen,allorfixed-only. The app refuses an expired or revoked token. - Check your browser. A download blocker or a full disk can stop a file that the app has sent correctly.
Still not working?
- Confirm you are in the right workspace, since another organisation's scans will not appear in yours.
- Compare with another teammate. If they can download the same scan, the problem is your role.
- Look at the Activity feed to see recent role changes, if your role lets you open it.
