Running scans
I closed my browser while a scan was running. Did the scan stop?
No. Each scan runs as a durable workflow on Cyberlop, not in your browser, so closing the tab or shutting your laptop does not stop it. Open Recent Scans later and click the scan row to see its progress or its result.
Why this happens
Cyberlop starts the scan on its own side the moment you press Scan. The browser is only a window onto it. The Documentation page says you can safely leave the page, because the run is durable and crash-recoverable.
Only a clear action stops a scan, which means someone pressing cancel on it or an administrator cancelling it. The Activity feed records who cancelled what, and when they did it.
How to fix it
- Choose Recent Scans in the sidebar.
- Find the row for your target and profile. The Result column shows the state.
- Click the row anywhere except the buttons. The scan page opens.
- Click Refresh if the status looks old. The page shows the phase, cost, tokens and lines of code, then the sitemap and findings as they arrive.
Still not working?
A typical scan of a small app takes roughly an hour. Bigger apps take longer. Rate limits make a scan slower, not failed, so a long run is not a sign of trouble.
If the row shows Failed or Cancelled and you did not choose that, read what the failed banner means or check Activity for a cancel entry. A failed scan can still hold the findings it reached before it stopped. Need a hand? Use our contact page with the target name and start time.
