Open Recent Scans and click the red trash icon, titled Delete this scan, on the row you want to remove. The run goes, but the target's findings stay on the Issues page. You need the scan:delete permission to see the icon.
Steps
Deleting a scan removes that run from the list. It does not remove the target.
- Go to Recent Scans. Choose it in the sidebar.
- Find the run. Use the search box if the list is long.
- Click the trash icon. It is red and titled Delete this scan.
- Confirm if asked. Follow any prompt that appears.
- Check the list. The row should be gone.
Good to know
The API reference says DELETE /api/scans/:id deletes a scan run and keeps target findings. Issues persist per target across scans, so the findings stay on the Issues page.
Do not confuse this with deleting a target. Deleting a target cascades to its profiles, schedules, scans and findings, and targets cannot be edited later. Take care to click the trash on the Recent Scans row, not on a target.
You need the scan:delete permission. If the icon is missing, ask an admin. The Activity page logs a Delete · Scan entry.
Download the PDF report first if you may need it. The Report button appears only on completed scans.
Before you delete
Expect the run to vanish from Recent Scans, along with its own detail page, Sitemap and Diff view. If you need the record, download the report PDF from the row first. The Report button shows only on completed scans, and the PDF holds the scan details and every finding.
Deleting is permanent from your side, so take a second look at the row before you click the icon. Check the target, the profile and the time, and if two rows look alike, open one of them first to be sure it is the run you meant. Slow down.
