Running scans

How do I find a scan by target or profile name?

Quick answer

Open Recent Scans and type a target or profile name into the search box, which reads Search scans by target or profile. The list narrows to matching runs. Click a row to open that scan's detail page.

Steps

Recent Scans lists the latest runs across all targets, so a search saves scrolling.

  1. Go to Recent Scans. Choose it in the sidebar.
  2. Select the search box. It reads Search scans by target or profile.
  3. Type a name. Use part of the target name or the profile name.
  4. Scan the results. Check Result, Initiated and Finished.
  5. Click the row. Its detail page opens.

Good to know

The table columns are Target, Profile, Run by, Location, Result, Initiated, Finished and Actions. After you search, use those columns to pick the right run. A target with many runs may show several rows with the same profile name.

Search matches the target or the profile. To search by something else, such as a finding title, use the Issues page instead. Its box reads Search findings by title or location...

Clicking anywhere on a row, except its buttons, opens the scan detail page.

Search tips

Short words work well, such as part of the target name. Both the target and the profile name are searched, so a profile called full audit will match on any target. If you have many runs, add the target name to narrow it. An empty result means no run matches the text you typed.

The same box style appears on other lists, with a different hint in each one. Scan Profiles searches by name, target or tag, and Targets searches by name, URL or tag, so match the box to the list you are on. Easy to mix up.
