Open Scan Profiles and click the red trash icon on the row of the profile you want to remove. Deleting a profile also deletes the schedules that use it. You need the profile delete permission, so ask an admin if the icon does nothing.
Steps
- Click Scan Profiles in the sidebar.
- Find the row. Type in the search box, which reads "Search profiles by name, target, or tag...", or click a tag chip to narrow the list.
- Check the Target column so you remove the right profile. Two targets can each have a profile with the same name.
- Click the red trash icon at the end of the row, in the Actions column.
- Confirm if the app asks you to.
Good to know
The API reference says that deleting a profile also deletes its schedules. If a schedule should keep running, create another profile first and set up a new schedule for it under Scheduled Scans. If you only want to pause a schedule, untick Enabled on the schedule instead.
The action needs the profile:delete permission. Without it the request fails, so ask an admin to grant it or to remove the profile for you.
The app does not describe what happens to the results of past scans that used the profile. If that matters for an audit, export your findings first from Issues with Export JSON or Export CSV, or contact us to confirm.
A whole target is different. Removing it takes out its profiles, schedules, scans and findings together, so if you are tidying up a project, read how to delete a target before you start.
| You want to | Do this |
|---|---|
| Stop one profile for good | Delete the profile |
| Pause a recurring run | Untick Enabled on the schedule |
| Change the settings | Edit the profile |
