Why are some findings missing from my Issues list?
A finding you expect to see usually sits behind a filter. It has not gone. Clear the search box, set the four dropdowns back to All, and check the triage chips. A chip in Hiding mode removes that status from the list. Role access can also limit what you see.
Why this happens
The Issues page lets you narrow the list in many ways, and that is the whole point of it. Five things can trim the list, and any one of them can hide a finding you expect to see:
- Text in the search box. It matches titles and locations only, so a word from the description will find nothing, and a typo hides everything.
- The Severity, Confidence, Class and Target dropdowns.
- The triage chips. In Hiding mode, each chip you select drops that status from the list.
- Your access. A role or group may limit the targets you can read, and the list then looks short without any warning.
- The target itself. Deleting a target removes its profiles, scans and findings for good.
How to fix it
Work down the list in this order, because the first three steps fix most cases in under a minute and the rest only matter for locked-down roles. Nothing here changes your data.
- Empty the search box. The placeholder reads "Search findings by title or location...".
- Set Severity, Confidence, Class and Target back to their "All" choices.
- Look at the first chip in the triage row. If it says Hiding, each selected status disappears. If it says Showing only, nothing else appears.
- Click a chip to deselect it, or click the first chip to switch between the two modes. Try it now.
- Still no luck? Open the scan from Recent Scans and check its Findings tab. Closed items carry their new status there.
Still not working?
Deleting a scan keeps the target's findings, so a deleted scan is not the reason. A deleted target is the one that takes its findings with it. When a whole target is missing, ask an admin whether your access covers only some targets. The page on missing targets covers that case. Then contact us with the finding title and target name. For more on the chips, see how triage chip mode works and the Issues list tutorial.
