Can I link a finding to a ticket in my issue tracker?
The API reference lists an issue-tracker reference among the fields you can set when you triage a finding. The captured finding dialog shows no ticket field, only Disposition, Assignee and Notes. Paste the ticket link into Notes for now.
The short version
You can tie a finding to a ticket, but the route depends on where you work. In the app, the simplest way is the Notes box. Through the API, the triage call can carry an issue-tracker reference.
How it works in Cyberlop
The API reference describes PATCH /api/issues/:id as the call that triages an issue. Its fields are status, assignee, an issue-tracker reference and notes. It needs the issue:triage permission.
The finding dialog in the app shows these controls: Disposition, Assignee, Update status and a Notes box. No separate ticket box appeared in the capture.
| Route | How |
|---|---|
| In the app | Paste the ticket link into Notes, then click Update status |
| By API | Send the reference in the triage call, with a token that holds issue:triage |
The captured pages do not say that Cyberlop creates tickets for you or syncs status back from your tracker. Treat the link as a reference you keep.
What to do next
For a quick start, open the finding, write the ticket link in Notes and click Update status. Read how to add notes to a finding.
To script it, open API Reference in the sidebar and filter for issues. Tokens are issued by an admin. See API tokens and permissions. Your team can also assign an owner, as in how to assign a finding.
Need a closer link with your tracker? Ask at /contact. The integrations page lists what exists today. A security ticket works best when it holds the finding link and the owner.
Whatever route you pick, keep one habit: put the same ticket link on the finding every time, so anyone who opens it can reach the work in one click. Be consistent. That is the whole trick.
