How do I search my targets by name, URL or tag?

Quick answer

Open Targets and type in the box that reads "Search targets by name, URL, or tag...". Enter part of a name, a URL or a tag such as prod. The list narrows to matching rows. Clear the box to see all targets.

The Targets page lists every application in your workspace. A search box above the table helps once the list grows.

Steps

  1. Click Targets in the sidebar.
  2. Select the box with the placeholder "Search targets by name, URL, or tag...".
  3. Type part of what you remember. A name fragment such as acme, a host such as staging.example.com, or a tag such as prod all work.
  4. Open the row you want. Each row shows the name with its URL underneath, then the results dots, tags, creator and environment.
  5. Delete the text to bring the full list back.

Good to know

A short fragment is often enough to bring up the one target you were after, because the search looks at names, URLs and tags together. Tags show as chips in the Tags column. A dash means the target has none, so searching for a tag only finds targets that already carry that label. Other pages have their own search boxes, and the same habit works across the app, as the table below shows.

PageSearch box says
TargetsSearch targets by name, URL, or tag...
Scan ProfilesSearch profiles by name, target, or tag...
Recent ScansSearch scans by target or profile...

To filter findings by target instead, use the filters on the Issues page. Prefer to work with the whole list outside the app, press Export JSON or Export CSV at the top of Targets. Not finding a target you expect? Your role or group may limit which ones you can see, which is a common reason for a short list. Ask an admin, or use /contact.
