How do I leave low-confidence findings out of the report?

Quick answer

Open the profile, switch to the Reporting section, and pick High, Medium or Low in Minimum confidence. Click Save. The final report then keeps only findings at or above that confidence, so low-confidence noise stays out.

Steps

  1. Find the profile. Use the pencil icon on its row in Scan Profiles, or start a new profile.
  2. Switch to Reporting. Choose Reporting in the left-hand switcher.
  3. Pick a confidence level. Select a level from the Minimum confidence list. The options are No minimum, High, Medium and Low.
  4. Save. Click Save in the footer.
  5. Run a scan. Press ▷ Scan. When it ends, the report follows your filter.

Good to know

Confidence says how sure Cyberlop is about a finding. Severity says how serious the flaw could be if it is real. They are different ideas, which is why the form has one setting for each. A medium-severity issue can have high confidence, and a critical one can have low confidence.

Choose High to get a lean report of well-supported issues. Choose Medium or Low when you want a wider net and are happy to read more. Starting with No minimum on a first scan shows you everything, and once you have seen what the results look like and how much of it your team can act on, you can tighten the filter to match.

Do not mix this up with the Confirmed, Likely and Unconfirmed status on each finding. That status shows how well the exploitation phase proved it. For the detail, read the severity and confidence guide.

When report numbers differ from the scan page, your filters usually explain the gap. See why a report count differs. Other questions go to /contact.
