How is AI usage measured, and when does it reset?

Quick answer

Cyberlop measures AI usage per model call and resets the count on the 1st of every month, in UTC. Settings → AI Provider shows two meters: dollars used from your included Cyberlop AI allowance, and dollars used on your own key.

The short version

Cyberlop counts AI usage for each model call. The count resets on the 1st of every month, in UTC. Two separate meters run side by side: one for the allowance that comes with your plan, and one for your own key.

How it works in Cyberlop

Open Settings → AI Provider and find AI USAGE THIS MONTH. It shows two lines, and a small note under them says usage is measured per model call.

LineWhat it counts
Cyberlop AIDollars used out of the allowance included in your plan, with a bar
On your own keyDollars of model usage on your own key

The Plan & usage tab shows the same allowance as Included this month. Its plan card also states the date your usage resets, written in UTC.

When the included allowance runs out, scans on Cyberlop AI pause until next month. Your own key has no such pause from Cyberlop. Your AI provider bills that usage, and its own limits still apply.

What to do next

Check the bar before you queue a large batch of scans. A big white-box scan on a large codebase uses more than a small one, so there is no fixed number of scans per dollar. If you are close to the limit, connect your own key in AI Provider so work can carry on.
