Can I change a schedule after creating it?
Yes, the API supports changes. PUT /api/schedules/:id updates a schedule and needs the schedule:update permission. The schedule list in the app had no rows when captured, so no edit button showed up there. Ask your admin or contact us.
The short version
You can update a schedule. The API Reference lists the route for it, and the permission that controls it.
How it works in Cyberlop
| Route | Does | Permission |
|---|---|---|
| GET /api/schedules | Lists scheduled scans | schedule:read |
| POST /api/schedules | Creates a schedule for a profile | schedule:create |
| PUT /api/schedules/:id | Updates a schedule | schedule:update |
| DELETE /api/schedules/:id | Deletes a schedule | schedule:delete |
The captured account had no schedules, so the page showed "No scheduled scans" and I could not see an edit control on an existing row, and I will not describe one I have not seen. The product text does not say which fields an update accepts, either.
What the schedule holds is clear from the create dialog: a scan profile, a frequency, a start date and time, and an Enabled box. Those are the things you would expect to change.
What to do next
- Look at your Scheduled Scans page for an edit option on each row.
- If you cannot find one, call the update route with an API token. Ask an admin to issue it from Administration → Users.
- Another route is to delete the schedule and create it again with the new values. See how to delete a schedule.
Remember that you pick the profile when you create a schedule, and that a profile keeps the same target for life. To pause a schedule instead of changing it, read how to turn a schedule off. Need help with the API? contact us.
