How do I choose the time a scheduled scan runs?
Use the Start date & time field in the New schedule dialog. The recurring cadence is anchored to that moment, and it is read in the timezone set under Settings, Organization. Check the timezone first, because it is UTC by default.
Steps
- Open Settings → Organization and look at Timezone for schedules. It defaults to UTC. Change it if your team works in another zone, then click Save changes.
- Go to Scheduled Scans and click + New schedule.
- Choose the Scan profile and the Frequency.
- In Start date & time, pick the date and the clock time of the first run.
- Press Create schedule.
Good to know
| Choice | Effect |
|---|---|
| Start date | The day the first run happens, and the day later runs repeat from. |
| Start time | The clock time of every run, in the organisation timezone. |
| Frequency | How often the cadence repeats from that start. |
The field help says it directly: "The recurring cadence is anchored to this date and time." So a weekly schedule that starts on a Monday morning will keep coming round on Monday mornings.
Pick a quiet time. A scan of a small app takes roughly an hour, and larger apps take longer, so avoid a start that overlaps a deploy or a busy period for the target.
The start time is a clock time in one timezone for the whole organisation. You cannot give each schedule its own zone in the dialog. Read how to change the schedule timezone for that setting.
