It needs a saved webhook to work. Paste your chat tool's HTTPS incoming-webhook URL into Settings → Notifications, click Save webhook, and Send test message becomes available. Before you save, the status reads that notifications are off.
Why this happens
This button stays greyed out until a webhook is set. With no address to send the test to, Cyberlop disables Send test message, and that is by design, not a fault with your browser or your chat tool. The status pill above says no webhook is set and notifications are off for as long as that holds.
How to fix it
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Create an incoming webhook in your chat tool and copy its HTTPS URL.
- Paste the URL into the Webhook URL field.
- Click Save webhook.
- Click Send test message, which is now available, and watch your channel.
The field is a password-type field, so you will see dots rather than the address. Cyberlop stores the URL encrypted and never shows it again. After a save, the status pill changes and the test button becomes available.
Still not working?
Check that you saved the URL and did not just paste it. A pasted but unsaved URL does not count, and the test button stays dark. Also check that the address starts with https and has no spaces at either end.
No message in your channel? Look at the webhook settings in your chat tool, because the webhook may point at a channel you cannot see. Our guides: sending a test message, the webhook URL format and connecting a chat webhook. More help is on the contact page.
