My webhook URL isn't accepted. What format does it need?

Quick answer

The field needs an HTTPS incoming-webhook URL created by your chat tool for one channel. Paste the full address on one line, with no quotes or spaces, then click Save webhook and send a test message to check it.

Why this happens

Cyberlop expects an incoming-webhook URL, which is an address your chat tool creates for posting messages into one channel. It must use HTTPS. A link to the channel itself is not a webhook URL, and neither is a page from the chat tool's settings.

That field on Settings → Notifications shows an example of the right shape as its placeholder. Use it as a guide, but copy your own address from your chat tool.

How to fix it

  1. In your chat tool, open its integrations or apps area and create an incoming webhook for the channel you want.
  2. Copy the full webhook URL it gives you. It should start with https://.
  3. Paste it into the Webhook URL field with nothing before or after it. No quotes, no spaces and no line breaks.
  4. Click Save webhook.
  5. Click Send test message to confirm that a message arrives.

The field hides what you type, like a password field. Cyberlop stores the URL encrypted and never shows it again. Not sure what you pasted? Paste it again.

Still not working?

Create a fresh webhook in your chat tool and try that one. The chat side may have switched off an old webhook. If the save works but no message appears, look at the channel the webhook points to.
